Bedford’s Altrusa Club members are busy with preparations of decorating a room for the future opening of Becky’s Place, a women’s shelter. But these gals were not satisfied with merely providing a bedroom. Knowing that the need will extend beyond ‘just a shelter,’ a ‘Kittchen Shower for Becky’s Place!’ was held in conjunction with the regular October meeting. Way too many gifts were brought to list them all, but just a few of the items included were: sets of dishes, silverware, mixing bowls, baking dishes, tea pots, measuring utensils, pitchers, many, many dish cloths & towels and even a toaster oven! Again the Altrusa shows its love for this community by continuing to provide when there is a need.
